CES Dinner Host Guide

    1. Identify possible restaurant locations. Normally the dinner is held in an evening during ASEE, near the ASEE conference venue. Prefer a restaurant that can reserve a separate room or section for 10 to 30 people.

    2. Announce date and time of dinner on the CES newsletter and ask folks to email you with RSVP.

    3. Receive RSVP emails, track overall count of the anticipated attendance.

    4. Give the restaurant a target count, and later give a refined count based on RSVP emails.

    5. Recruit one of the attendees (or volunteer yourself) to open with devotions at the dinner (short devotional passage plus prayer).

    6. Greet dinner attendees, tell them about the Christian Engineering Society, encourage them to formally join.

    7. If possible, take a group picture that could be used for promoting CES in the future.
