- Identify possible restaurant locations. Normally the dinner is held in an evening during ASEE, near the ASEE conference venue. Prefer a restaurant that can reserve a separate room or section for 10 to 30 people.
- Announce date and time of dinner on the CES newsletter and ask folks to email you with RSVP.
- Receive RSVP emails, track overall count of the anticipated attendance.
- Give the restaurant a target count, and later give a refined count based on RSVP emails.
- Recruit one of the attendees (or volunteer yourself) to open with devotions at the dinner (short devotional passage plus prayer).
- Greet dinner attendees, tell them about the Christian Engineering Society, encourage them to formally join.
- If possible, take a group picture that could be used for promoting CES in the future.
